Negative reviews state that false alarms do happen after your baby is 6 months or older due to the fact that they tend to move and will move away from the sensor pad, hence setting off the alarm.  Also false alarms will happen once the baby learns to fall asleep deeper at later ages.  Some customers report that they had to get a piece of plywood in between the mattress and the springs to stop the false alarms.  Adjust the sensitivity as soon as possible, said one customer, or else if it’s set too high then the monitor will think that the baby is not in bed and go off.
